Saint Hilaire

Saint-Hilaire-en-Woëvre, site of ancient worship, later a Church was build. Another Church was later build in Marville, named Saint Nicolas. On a nearby hilltop in the vacinity of Saint Hilaire there exists a Merovingian burial site still largely unexplored. The entrance to wich is crowned by an ancient tree with symbolic twisted branches and known locally as the tortured tree.
