Antrustions
The volunteer companions of the Merovingian Kings of France were the “Trustis,” “Warrior Companionship,” and “Antrustion.”
Any free man wishing to join the Antrustions, “which was regarded as a great honor,” had to present himself armed at the Royal Palace and, “if accepted by the King,” make a vow of Trustees and Fidelitas, the Oath of Fidelity regarding each matter at the King’s increase, with his hands in those of the King.
He was considered to be in truste dominica for life and obligated to provide the kinds of help contained as a result of this. And in exchange, the Antrustions acquired particular favorable circumstances and qualified for imperial assistance in regard to these.
In recent years, there has been much conjecture about the Merovingian Bloodline. A few examples of publications on this subject include the books Holy Blood, Holy Grail, and its spinoff, The Da Vinci Code.
Here, however, are the historical facts that are at our disposal thanks to public and private records.
Early Germanic culture was patriarchal in nature, centered on clan groups, and stressed the ideals of the warrior. It was socially stratified into three tiers: aristocrats, free warriors, and slaves. The Franks and other confederations first formed in Germany at a time when military kingship and war bands were a powerful force.
The myths of shared lineage and the virtue of pure blood provided the pre-Migration Germanic tribes with a sense of solidarity. Long Haired King (Reges Criniti) was the ruler and the guarantee of law, social order, fertility, and peace. He was a man of noble heritage, connected to divine predecessors. Religion held sway over all spheres of life, including authority, in Germanic civilization.
Their long hair served as a crucial and revered representation of their legitimacy, sacral authority, and divine right to rule. As a result, the King was acknowledged by his subjects as a godly ancestor who served as a Priest King and a liaison between the Gods and the realm of mortals.
introduction
The Roman Catholic Church entered into an agreement with Clovis, King of the Franks, in the year 469, bestowed upon him the title “New Constantine” in return for his “conversion” to Christianity. Thus began the Holy Roman Empire, with the guarantee that the title would be passed down to his descendants from that moment on. Sadly, that pledge was shattered in the year 800.

The Fifth Duke of the East Franks, Pharamund (404-419) is recognized by early historians as being the First King of the Salian Franks
King Chlodovech, (Clovis) son of Childeric and Queen Basina I of Thuringen was the first King of the Franks to unite all of the Frankish tribes under one rule.

Merovingian society
The Merovingian period, dated from the beginning of the Middle Ages has largely been eclipsed from conventional historic reference, thus excluding this important period from our general knowledge and is conveniently dismissed as the “Dark Ages”. Contrary to popular belief the opposite is the case, for this was a time of considerable Prosperity, Wisdom and Spiritual Enlightment. Linking people, cultures and civilizations across much of the then known world.
We now have a new perspective thanks to recent studies of Early Medieval graves and villages. The ancient knowledge that was a part of the Merovingian Bloodline as Kings/High Priests explained why individuals in this period were much healthier than in the eras before and after, according to a study of a Dutch skeleton.
Additionally, research revealed that during the Merovingian era, the Low Countries were a part of an extensive and dense global trade network.
Scientific studies have shown, among other things, that the valuable stones from the jewelry that was found, including garnets, frequently came from India, Pakistan, and other far-off countries. They arrived in the Low Lands via trade routes from places more likely to have mines than Bohemia, which would have made more sense.

The more we learn about this era, the more we come to grasp how the fundamental tenets of our modern civilization were established. Learning and understanding are two of the Order of Antrustions’ key goals.
Due to the fact that some of the Merovingian buildings were made of wood and have been rebuilt numerous times over the years, not much of it is still standing today. However, we do know that the Merovingians constructed churches that combined Middle Eastern and earlier Roman architectural characteristics, such as the basilica shape with its rounded arches and central nave. They had mastered the art of glass-making and masonry by the 7th century, and other regions of Europe highly valued these capabilities.
early Christianity
The diversity of early Christianity was astounding, even astonishing. Different Christians were all speaking various things about God, Christ, the world, salvation, Jews, and pretty much everything else. These Christians all had the opinion that they were correct and everyone else was mistaken. Each of them may cite sacred texts purportedly penned by Jesus’ followers as evidence for their assertions. Only some of these books—in a heavily edited form—became the New Testament, and only some of these ideas persisted over the ages. The Roman Catholic Church eventually rejected all of the others as heresy.
A strong Roman Catholic Christian Church/Faith was built on the agreement between the Merovingian Royal House and the Roman Catholic Church, which played a major role in its expansion.
We all acquire information over the course of our lives, and wisdom is the result of knowledge that enables the discernment that the Holy Spirit bestows upon those who seek after God’s Eternal Truths.

Londinium
The Londoners were referred to as Trinovantes by Julius Caesar because Brutus had erected their city as New Troy.
Franks began to settle in London to engage in trade, and as a result, the “culture and prosperity” of Londinium and Britain eventually eclipsed that of the Romans in continental Europe.
Because they were brought to England to reintroduce glassmaking techniques and because Merovingian stonemasons were used to construct English churches, Merovingian craftsmen’s skills must have been highly valued. The opus gallicum was heavily used by Merovingian masons, who also introduced it to England, left it to the Normans, who then took it to Italy.
Little to nothing has changed in terms of production technology; the modern Merovingian glass blowers’ techniques are still in use. Glass can still be blown using the glassblowers from the Merovingian glassblowing equipment. They are essentially the same instruments that are still used to make glass today. Time has entirely stopped in that regard.
Since Merovingian art leans toward abstraction, it doesn’t quite resemble anything in the outside world. It features geometric patterns, forms, and occasionally ornate surface embellishment.
In actuality, a large number of the Merovingian artifacts we possess today were discovered in graves. The lovely, tiny, golden bee figurines with red garnet wings that were discovered in Childric I’s tomb may have been intended for use on royal garments and horse harnesses.
The technical studies of Merovingian metalwork were very creative and showed the intricate techniques used to create gold and garnet and gold filigree brooches, iron belt buckles with patterns of inlaid gold and silver wire, and pattern-welded swords.
